“Hilton Kathmandu” is located in downtown Kathmandu in the midst of a culturally rich environment of the beautiful valley surrounded with nature.

The design looks at translating the rich culture of Nepal in the project by translating the prayer flags. These prayer flags of Kathmandu represent wellbeing and good wishes and is supposed to spread this purity in the surroundings when they flutter in the wind.

These prayer flags that have an ethereal quality have been translated in vertical fins made of laminated dichroic glass. During the day based on angle of incidence of the sun on these fins, they will emanate these beautiful colours in the surroundings. During night these are illuminated to resonate the culture of Nepal in the city scape and coming alive by night when the rest of the city sleeps.

The building itself has been designed in such a way that the typical floors open up to views of Langtang range (the highest visible mountain range from Kathmandu valley).

The property consists of 180 plus guest rooms, banquet hall, three F&B outlets, business centre alongside all day dining and an infinity pool on the top two floors to capture the breath-taking views of the beautiful Himalayas.
