Rucevel A is a Concept Design Team Lead at Studio Symbiosis, where he has spent the last four years coordinating the studio’s design initiatives. His expertise lies in the seamless integration of sensible architectural design with advanced parametric tools, ensuring that each project is both functionally grounded and formally innovative. By leveraging computational workflows, he translates environmental data and performance requirements into cohesive, high-performance design solutions.

A graduate of McGan’s Ooty School of Architecture (B.Arch, Class of 2017), Rucevel’s academic journey was marked by early recognition, including being shortlisted in ANDC 2013 and placing in the Top 20 for the Reubens Trophy at NASA 2017. Before joining Studio Symbiosis, he developed a robust professional foundation as a Project Architect at Architecture RED and a Junior Architect at Studio SKAI, alongside formative internships at Cadence Architects and SDeG Architects. This diverse experience allowed him to refine his technical execution and project management skills across a variety of scales and typologies.

A deep-seated interest in computational optimization, sparked during a Grasshopper workshop at Studio Symbiosis in 2015, continues to drive his design philosophy today. He maintains deep proficiency in Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and Revit, utilizing these tools to explore contemporary minimalism. At the firm, he remains dedicated to exploring the intersection of technology and nature, crafting ecologically sound designs that contribute to the built environment.
